The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency has put the bankruptcy debtor Industrija Mesa BEK, as a legal entity, up for sale.

The most important property of this company consists of land and buildings in Beogradska Street in Zrenjanin, as well as immovable property under dispute – an office space in Rijeka which has been nationalized by Croatia.

IM BEK is sold at an initial price of RSD 78.7 million.

Zrenjanin’s BEK is one of the formerly most famous factories to operate within the Servo Mihalj Combine. It was founded in 1956 and it used to employ 1,000 workers, but a bad privatization happened in 2006, followed by bad business operations, a long-term account blocking and bankruptcy proceedings.
